THIS tub replaced one of those horrible, huge, tubs with all the jets that builders put in homes in the 1990s. I gutted my master bath and more than doubled the size of my shower, and had this beauty installed. I wish I had considered the placement of the freestanding water faucet while the plumber was in the deep hole he had to dig to move pipes around....I placed the tub with the little lip under the faucet so some water splatters on the wall.......that was MY mistake so just a suggestion for when you put your tub in. I am used to one of the type tubs that goes in a corner with wall on 3 sides..........long and low. THIS is short and deep. Perfect soaking tub. I am 5'1 so I actually can sit and extend my legs straight out but anyone taller will have their knees up. Even so, a little water comes up on your body giving you an amazing soak. We are redoing our on suite bathroom. We’ve had shattered sinks and poor quality items delivered to us that required tedious returns therefore, I was really worried about how this tub would survive the shipping to us especially because Wayfair noted that it was “not returnable.” The tub came packed in a box, surrounded by plastic wrap and padding to protect it. That box was completely surrounded by a box made of wooden pallet boards. The delivery men were very careful moving it into our garage. I was not happy that we were not allowed to open the box and verify that the tub was in good shape while the delivery men were still here. Also, there was no “delivery slip” we could notate anything on as stated in the delivery instructions. It was all electronic and we were told “you can sign it or not.” That being said, we opened and checked it out and it was in perfect shape. What a relief that was! This tub is well-built and is sturdy but light-weight. I haven’t installed it yet because it is part of a complete tear-down remodel, but i have noticed the quality of the drain assembly, which is often a weak point for a lot of tubs.
