I cant say this bed isnt pretty. I do like it. However, what appears to be wrought iron is actually painted plastic composite material. Also the framing around the headboard is also plastic like. I posted a picture of.the corner that has a chip and it feels and looks like plastic. The center of the headboard, the footboard, and side rails do appear to be wood. I warred with getting these or the pedestal base, but due to replacing a bathtub with a unique plumbing layout, the feet were the best option if I needed to have my drain assembly facing the room.
