When I first installed the bathroom lighting (5-light vanity fixture), I used regular (standard bulb-shaped) bulbs. Looked attractive, but thought it would give off more brilliance. I just changed the bulbs to the T10 LED variety, and WOW ... WHAT BRILLIANCE!! So, it isn't always the design of the fixture, but rather the bulb application that can make a world of difference. This is a very sturdy, quality made table. I was nervous to make such a large purchase online but we are very pleased with it. The buttermilk is more of a tan/gray as previous comments state.
