It’s hardly noticeable and the trouble to return. It wouldn’t be worth it therefore, we decided to keep it and cover up the damage with bedding. I love love my bed!!! It’s perfect in size, sturdiness, color. The only issue I had(which was my fault) when putting it together you have drill the slats on before attaching the bottom frame to the headboard or you’ll think the slats are too short.
