My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this cabinet. It did arrive with one panel slightly bent, but my husband was able to lightly tap it with a hammer back into shape. It was carefully packaged well, but it is very heavy, and arrived by freight, so some bending is probably inevitable. We are using this in the garage, so we don’t mind a couple small dings. My husband said the assembly was relatively simple. There were a lot of pieces and it took about 2 hrs to put together. The drawers are smooth, and lock well— same for the cabinet doors. Decent quality for the price. Drawer hardware exceeded expectations. Assembly is intermediate level - if youre a beginner, I would recommend getting a friend involved. Really happy with this chair. It’s very comfortable, looks great in the office, and overall feels like a quality piece. Assembly was pretty straightforward, but one thing worth mentioning when installing the arms, they might look like they don’t line up at first. They actually do. The trick is to loosely screw in one fastener first, then add the others, and tighten them gradually at the same time little by little. Once you do that, everything fits perfectly. As advertised, generally pretty good, but very light weight. If I had seen it in person, and had the chance to pay more and get a more substantial filing cabinet, I would have happily paid more. Nonetheless, this is a metal (albeit very thin light-weight metal) filing cabinet and it works as it should. I used it with both drawers set for 8 1/2 x 11 in the standard way which is what I needed but I don’t think this is clear from the pics and verbiage online so I thought it best to say that both will work perfectly well for 8 1/2 x 11 file folders..
