The color and texture are WAY off from the photos. It is shown on the website as being a darker reddish hue with contrasting orange fringe on the ends and subtle lines stitched through it. The lines are non-existent and the color is far more brown with the fringe being the same shade as the rug itself. This is a nice looking rug. It’s got a thicker strand about an inch (not sure I will be able to vacuum) and a jute-type for the orange. It needs a nonslip backing though because it is easy to move.
