We are used to cooking with stainless cookware and the only usable burner for cooking on lower heat is the simmer burner. The others are just too intense. The grates are really heavy duty. I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. Bought this several months ago. Although I sent the link with specs and installation instructions to the builder's subcontractor, he installed the grill on wood supports which is combustible. Of course, the builder blamed us for not buying via his subcontractor (which would have been much more expensive). After the subcontractor made a steel box with cement board to address the combustion issue, we discover he didn't allow room to pull the grease pans out. I recently purchased the LG Probake Convection, Air Fry, InstaView Selfclean, EasyClean and Snart, Stainless, Freestanding Electric Range, and it’s been a great upgrade. The InstaView is one of my favourite features being able to check on food without opening the oven is perfect for baking and helps keep the temperature steady. The ProBake Convection cooks faster and more evenly, which I noticed right away. I enjoy cooking with the cooktop. It’s heats up quickly, and distributes heat well, and the smooth glass surface is easy to clean. The different element size are really practical depending on what you are cooking. The built in Air Fry is a nice bonus, and I like that it alerts you if the oven door is left open. Small details, but really helpful. My family appreciates the Wifi connectivity. Being able to preheat the oven remotely through the app is a level of convenience I didn’t realize I needed until now. It helps, especially on busy days.
