We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. Perfect for what I was looking for. Looks very durable and work well on our balcony. Very easy to install. Peel and stick tiles. The color is exactly as it appears in the picture. Darker is better if you have small pets as a lighter color will show more of the foot traffic. I gave 4 stars verses 5 because I would have preferred it a bit thicker but then again you must consider the weather conditions and how long it will take to dry if it rains or depending on where you live harsh winter weather. November 19,2020 - I wanted to write back and tell everyone that this is even a better carpet than I thought as we had an issue with an item we purchased elsewhere (outdoor heater) and the item we purchased was defected and started a fire when we plugged it an outlet to use. Sparks flew out of the items cord... instead of the carpet going up in flames it just scorched it and didn't go up in flames (see photo).
