This jute rug is perfect for my office! I love the size, and the jute is surprisingly soft. From what I can tell so far, it’s not shedding much at all and it didn’t have any weird smell or shedding right out of the package, which was a huge plus. We needed a living room rug that would blend in with our floral chairs and accent the room nicely. We like rugs with thicker piles. This rug worked perfectly. The colors are muted enough to not fight with our chairs. It is a bit more yellowish than the picture showed but it works for us. The carpet layer smooth from the beginning. I needed something thin that would still allow my office chair to roll over it freely, and this fir the bill. I like the nice subtle design. It really balances out the darkness of my wood paneled room with the more contemporary light colored and metal furniture. It really ties the room together. It also cleans up easily - no issues with any of my vacuums. Though it is somewhat thin, it's still heavy enough to stay put when vacuuming. I deducted one star because I noticed after about a year or so, the rug started losing its shape ever so slightly in the area where my chair rolls around. Like it was bubbling/warping a bit.
