It's a nice cabinet and heavy, but not solid oak as we had thought. It's an oak veneer and not all oak veneer in some spots so if you get unfinished staining doesn't work very well, so we had to paint ours. Extremely durable it definitely has some weight to it which surprised me. When it was heavy, I knew it was going to be durable and thats exactly what it was.
