I bought two of these rugs after looking for some time. I have used them on my covered porch for two spring /summer seasons. I am very happy with the durability and it is lovely. Would definitely order again and again. The colour is neutral and gives a "jute rug" vibe however the rug is soft (flat pile). I have not experienced any issues with the threads or staining. It has been wet and dries fairly quickly. Not certain I would install in areas that are not protected as it is not on the cheaper side and would be concerned the elements may damage it. I purchased this rug to use under a mat on my front porch. The mat is not a true black. It is a charcoal color with light gray. My mat is black and looked too dark on this rug so now will be looking for a charcoal mat. The material is very nice, arrived rolled, and layed flat immediately. It is light weight so should be anchored with furniture or a mat to keep in place. It is well made. I have just received it so we shall see if it fades as my porch gets the afternoon sun. I needed something thin that would still allow my office chair to roll over it freely, and this fir the bill. I like the nice subtle design. It really balances out the darkness of my wood paneled room with the more contemporary light colored and metal furniture. It really ties the room together. It also cleans up easily - no issues with any of my vacuums. Though it is somewhat thin, it's still heavy enough to stay put when vacuuming. I deducted one star because I noticed after about a year or so, the rug started losing its shape ever so slightly in the area where my chair rolls around. Like it was bubbling/warping a bit.
