I recently had siding put on my home. My contractor sort of refused to put my old awnings back on the house - rightfully so - would have been awful! So, I started searching for suitable choices. Many were negated because they wouldn't have mounted to the siding correctly. Then I found this (and a larger one for my front door but got that one elsewhere as Wayfair didn't have that size) and realized that a mounting kit could be purchased for vinyl siding! Hooray! It's gorgeous - so minimalistic and really matches the house. It hasn't rained yet so I don't know how well it will shield but at least it looks pretty. Cheap. Easy to install. I noticed small holes in the cover after approximately five years, but the support structure is still good. UV probably causes deterioration of the polycarbonate. I have yet to install the product. It does look well designed and should be easy to assemble and install. The only problem was I ordered black brackets with grey poly canopy.
