Cheap. Easy to install. I noticed small holes in the cover after approximately five years, but the support structure is still good. UV probably causes deterioration of the polycarbonate. I recently had siding put on my home. My contractor sort of refused to put my old awnings back on the house - rightfully so - would have been awful! So, I started searching for suitable choices. Many were negated because they wouldn't have mounted to the siding correctly. Then I found this (and a larger one for my front door but got that one elsewhere as Wayfair didn't have that size) and realized that a mounting kit could be purchased for vinyl siding! Hooray! These were much larger in real life than I was expecting but seemed the right size once installed. They came with decent instructions but pictures only so takes a little to figure out. They came with rubber stripes to put between pieces but they dont make a tight seal so I bought 12 backer strips to add between the frame and plexiglass for a tight seal. This awning is amazing! Not only is the material well built the instructions were spot on. I had a contractor and took him 3 hours and he said this is one of the nicest awnings he’s seen and this company makes amazing awnings. Product is amazing and it looks great!
