I am so excited for this mini split unit. Getting a new central air conditioner is just not in the cards right now. This is a very affordable price for the amount of ac and heat that you are getting. Things of note, we had to buy a specialty drill bit to be able to install the units properly. We live in a brick house and needed to be able to drill through the brick. The lines that connect from outside to inside need about a 2 inch diameter hole to pass through. We also decided to buy a rack so that we could hang the main condenser above the ground. We were not able to install this by ourselves and had to call for reinforcements via an HVAC guy. Once everything is finished being installed I will update with the finished product! UPDATE: like others have posted, you will need a special HVAC vacuum to start the unit. You will also need special wire and a 220 outlet to connect to. Trimline kickspace heaters. If you don’t believe you have room for auxiliary heat, you haven’t seen trimline kick space heaters. They tuck under cabinet kick spaces, vanity bases, stairways, or any place where space is limited. Consider them for light-commercial applications such as ticket/toll booths and checkout counters where ducting isn’t possible.
