Really amazing little media cabinet. Instructions were easy to follow and assembly was very simple. The hardware was sorted in resealable bags which makes the assembly process much easier and while the included screwdriver was a nice addition, I would recommend using a full size one as the little one can really cramp up a hand. I was a little bit intimidated in how I would connect the doors, though I found just laying it on its back with the doors the hinges line up perfectly. Was also a little concerned that rough particle board was used, but with the overall design of the cabinet and its general function I don't think it's something to have much worry over at all as the board construction seems sturdy enough as it is. Finally, while not a negative factor at all, I thought this was going to end up being an espresso or dark brown, but turns out its much darker, which is what I was preferring anyways.. Nathan. Thin metal with a simple assembly that leaves bracing sections on top and bottom just hanging over the frame (unfastened). It feels flimsy in the assembly stage, even when finished. HOWEVER, once you fill it with DVDs/Blu Ray discs, it is perfectly sturdy as long as you don't try to lift or move it. Because it's steel, it won't scuff or scratch like manufactured wood (or even solid wood which is a lot more $); perfect for when you need to constantly slide the DVDs around to organize them. Slide away, the shelves won't scratch or scuff which is awesome. For DVD/BR, not all the shelves are useable; you end up with one too small to hold anything but CDs/other items. Even then, it holds about 49 DVD/BRs per shelf. It's too deep to display CDs well; same with DVDs. It would have been perfect 3 or 4 inches shallower, but then it might have balance issues and easily tip over. Assembly is a very simple process. A few screws and you're done, as even the shelf holders are just metal hook inserts. All in all, I'm satisfied with the product. However, this is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced and I wanted to give it 2 or 3 stars for this reason. You can find the exact same cabinet for less than half the price elsewhere, and even then that is a bit overpriced for its materials and basic assembly, but at least more reasonable.. Loo. Irmo, SC. This product is exactly what I was looking for. It seems sturdy and the finish is not offensive. My only complaint is that the adjustable shelves do not go all the way to the back wall of the unit, and, they are not finished on the bottom!
