These are great lights. The adjustable feature for color temperature works very well, and the lights themselves seem to be of good quality. This 17004 is an aluminum 6-inch shallow new construction housing designed for 6-inch led recessed downlights, led retrofits, and traditional trims of all sorts. It’s suitable for residential and commercial applications and features integral thermal guards that protect against overheating (usually due to using an incorrect wattage or bulb). The 17004 adjusts from 0.5 to 1.5 inches to accommodate ceiling drywall thickness. The 5.75-inch housing height allows it to be used in a 2 x 6-inch joist construction.

The 15502 series trims are designed to fit standard 5-inch recessed housings using torsion v-spring clips (included) for installation. The diameter measures 6.5-inches with a glass lens aperture of 4.5-inches. The trim is perfect for showers, bathrooms, closets and outdoor patios. When I placed my order I was a bit confused. I thought this was an entire recessed lighting unit, but it is only the outer trim. I contacted customer service and got everything straightened out.
