There’s something about black furniture that looks so simple yet elegant. I brought this bed for a spare bedroom that is currently being renovated and it will fit in perfectly with the decor that I have already purchased. The quality of the headboard is very soft and has that plushy feel to it. It’s definitely much sturdier than a bed I previously purchased. I can also speak highly of the instructions for this bed. I love that the pictures are very detailed so I don’t make the mistake of installing something wrong. I noted several issues with several pieces out of the 576 pieces in this box. I had at least three different pieces that were bent that I still managed to put together. However there were a few other pieces where the predrilled holes did not line up properly which forced me to create at least one new hole to get the pieces to go together properly. This is exactly what I needed to get rid of the big ugly base on my umbrella. The holes for the umbrella base are tapped for M8 bolts. The outer holes work for 14 bolts. The base is powder coated dark grey with some metallic flakes. This comes with 16 lag screws that are about 2” long. I didn’t use these as they wouldn’t sink far enough into the support joists..
