The Lexington Mailbox and Post Kit is manufactured from rust-proof polyethylene and polypropylene material with an ultraviolet inhibitor for long life. The product can be assembled and installed in a matter of minutes using common tools. All hardware needed for assembly is included. The base of the mailbox post is designed to be mounted over a 4 x 4 x 72 pressure-treated pine post (not included). Note: Actual dimensions of pressure-treated 4 x 4 x 72 post are 3 ½” x 3 ½” x 72”.

Wayfair does not disappoint! Mailbox arrived promptly well packed! The post is rather heavy but overall the material used is very durable, strong and weather resistant. It helped that other customers who have purchased this mailbox, have highly recommended it to be a great product. 2 people assembling this will make the process easier quicker. Gives great curb appeal as well. My mailman was very appreciative of the new mailbox mentioned that closing opening the mailbox was smooth he does not have to pull or tug with extra force.
