Reclaimed from the barn it once supported, this statement piece is rich with history and character. Made in the USA, the beautiful nuances created by its labor-intensive past and Mother Nature have been cast and preserved by a patented molding material. Each piece is then meticulously hand painted and finished just waiting to welcome you home. Due to the natural imperfections captured in the reclaimed wood, the shelf will not have uniform dimensions, i.e. shelf height and depth will be marginally different across the entire mantel. 6”H x 6”D 70lbs. This beam is constructed out of ¾” thick Aspen wood and is 6 1/2" tall. You choose the length and depth. Each piece of wood is unique and will have more or less character/knots than the other. It is designed to look like a solid beam without weight. The distressed beams are painted either black or white and have the edges sanded over and a brown stain/wax applied for a distressed look. The distressed beams will not be a solid color. Easy to install utilizing a French cleat mounting bracket which is included. Screws are not included. You will need to purchase 3" screws for the application you will be attaching the bracket to. Wood is considered a combustible material. Heat clearances must be adhered to. If installing over a fireplace, check your local building codes and the manufacturer's instructions for your specific fireplace insert or stove.

It arrived nicely packed, but I took one star away as it did not come with the 2 inch wood screws needed to do its install! It also did not come with instructions for installation. This meant searching online for instructions and having to go get the screws needed for the install.
