Inspiration for the Ridge Rug came from the monochromatic color field paintings of Brice Marden. Early critiques of his work questioned this singular use of color, suggesting a lack of emotional range, to which he explained that each piece was “a concentration of feelings in layers.” We agree: pools of playful color with some texture are the best thing you can do for any space. Honey is a wheat yellow.
