Just because it’s easy doesn’t make a job well done any less special. The drop-in Jackson Fireclay kitchen sink offers an easy DIY installation with high-end beauty. But it also offers function: the large single bowl ensures maximum workspace for cleaning bulky or oversized dishes. Our ultra-durable and dense fireclay is fired up to 2100°F and protected with our proprietary finish that safeguards and adds strength.

An attractive sink at a good price. This is a fireclay sink, which means it is fired at a lower temperature than a porcelain sink, but at a higher temperature than a ceramic sink. Higher temps increase hardness and durability. This becomes apparent as this sink will stain if left soiled overnight, unlike a porcelain sink which you can rinse and wipe clean. It is not a big deal as it does come clean with some bleach cleaner and a sponge. I am happy overall. Note: I bought a sturdy stainless steel sink grid, not included, to protect the bottom from nicks and scratches (~$50), which I recommend. Can be used as a trivet or a cooling rack as well.. The sink is far better than I expected - but beware it is VERY HEAVY and will require strong support from underneath as way too heavy for a standard “undermount". It is also quite deep and will drop thusly into the cabinet below. That said it should be a wonderful prep sink for my kitchen island. The finish is very smooth and lovely with a bit less gloss than pictured - which is what I prefer - and will match my natural travertine marble main sink very well. The major problem was in the acquiring: it was difficult to locate and receive, having initially ordered from another source that then (weeks later) advised it was a discontinued item by Barclay and they might get some more in MAY. Wayfair did show two in stock, however, also weeks later noted they had none and they had to (and were able to) get it shipped from the manufacturer direct. Great looking sink, short apron saved us from having to adjust existing base cabinet doors below it. Removed one star because water tends to pool on the surface, sides get water spots, corners are square I worry about keeping it clean in the long run - basically all the drawbacks to having a zero radius sink. Great sink appearance wise. Had some issues at installation, no fault of the sink. Countertop companies were hesitant to install because undermount edges were not totally flat. Had to fight to convince them it’s the sink design not damage. It installed just fine.
