It would’ve only taken an hour however I had to take it a part and start over. All the pieces and the holes aligned well. A couple of tips I wish I had before starting: the larger holes need to be on the outside of the frame, not the inside - the instructions do not make this clear. Very pretty and well made. I‘ve bought this brand before because they make hammocks that last for years. I do wish the S hook was just that and not with a screw in component as I just use tree straps to hang. I ran to the hardware store and bought simple S hooks- an easy adjustment.. Jill. MN.
