I had used this type of air conditioner at an Air BnB and really like it, this was main reason for ordering this one and it is great. I especially like that it is a converter unit and can be used year-round for cooling in the summer and for heat in the winter. The greatest advantage, I think is the savings on your electric bill from not having to cool the entire house. The inverter option is great for any place with short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! I heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote control is a must, but it works great with the thermostat so I just set the temperature I like and that’s it! The room stays at a comfortable temperature. My husband was able to do most of the installation. It was relatively easy to install the unit on the wall with parts that are included, we only had a certified electrician do the the connection and final install of the unit. I got this 14,000 BTU window AC for my workshop here in Florida, and honestly it’s been a lifesaver in the heat. My shop gets brutally hot during the afternoons, especially with tools running and the sun beating on the building, but this unit cools the space down way faster than I expected. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to wait to give this a review because its actually been so cool where I have been this summer! But the flexibility, and relative ease (its still an air conditioner!) of taking it in and out of the window to only use when needed has been amazing. Its so quiet in my son's bedroom, but keeps him cool during his afternoon naps and has kept his room cold enough for the occasional too hot nights. I can turn it on and off with my phone so I don't have to go inside, and its so much quieter and cheaper to run than my old portable AC. Haven’t put food down it yet but it takes gel and water. Installation instructions were confusing because one piece was different than pictured and they are not labled properly. My first time booking something like this up and it took about one hour. Used youtube to help put it together. It’s very heavy so I recommend using a bucket to hold it up. Wayfair delivered the wrong item at first but then sent me the correct one without a hassle. I know I can always count on Wayfair to make it right!
