I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better. Ordered this farmhouse sink in glossy blue. Absolutely love it! Color is even better than it appears online. More iridescent. Depending on angle, it appears anywhere from indigo to purple to royal blue to black. Quality is top notch. Am extremely impressed. Kitchen is not ready yet for the install but will update with photo when it is done. I wanted something different and unique. This fits the bill!! I replaced my 20 year old grill with this Napoleon 700 series grill. The technology on this grill has come a long way compared to my old grill. Cooks great, doesn’t flare up like my old grill. It has an insulated hood that keeps a consistent temperature. I used the rotisserie for the first time this weekend and it worked great. I couldn’t believe how quiet it was. With the back infrared burner it cooked very evenly. The lights on the grill work great for cooking at night and they look pretty cool too. I was so happy to find this sink on Wayfair! I actually was having a hard time finding a sink that would fit my existing cabinet space. I was originally looking for a cast iron sink to replace the one I had. But actually love the look & feel of this new sink. And it’s been easy to keep clean so far.
