The outer panel of the bed is cleverly designed, which can be used as a temporary workbench or for placing items. Whether it is books, decorations, daily clothes or exquisite jewelry, they can be stored neatly and orderly.

This piece takes quite a while to put together and requires at least 2 adults to do it well. The assembly hardware doesn't fit tighly and easily shows because it is a contrasting color. I do not foresee the bookshelves staying in place with heavy use because the stabilizing pegs are too small for the holes. The swinging feet readily loosen every time you put it up or down. Overall this is a nice piece of furniture. I'm taking off one star because several of the parts were not labeled and others were not labeled well. In addition, the directions were lacking detail on vital orientation of panels and boards and while the videos of each step provide through QR code were somewhat helpful, they were zoomed out and did not provide the level of detail necessary. This added several hours to the overall installation process as I had to backtrack several times and disassemble. Overall build time was 10-11 hours primarily with one person (directions say some steps require 4 people). 2-3 hours of that time was fixing previous mistakes/missteps. Special note on putting on the pistons on the murphy bed - you have to have the bedframe assembled and in the closed position and access it from the back for it to line up with the bolts (this was not mentioned in directions and couldn't be seen in the video). The customer service was able to replace the pieces, however, they also arrived four days after they said they would get here. Even the replacement pieces had damaged corners, but they were usable. Product is made with real wood on the regular pressed wood that chips and break easyly. Just be prepared as it is not and easy assembles unit. There are a lot of pieces but they are well identified. The only thing I would have liked to see different is that all the nuts and bolts be packaged in individual bag not 2 or 3 mixed in the same bag. A few parts did not have the proper number on them but they were easy to identifie. Also, some parts are identical except for one that has a different number on it but they dont tell you to be carefull when you install it as it as some hard to see marks that you will need later on in the install to align a stopper of something else. If you did not notice these marks you could have installed that part upside down and you will have to disasemble part of the units to switch it to the proper side. Overall the kit is nice, It took me about 14 hrs so far to put together the bed section and the cabinet with the drawers. The last cabinet will be quick and i still have to anchor everything to the walls. The total project probably takes 20hrs for a individual who is somewhat skilled at these things. My issues are mostly around the instruction booklet. They are not laid out in a useful and logical manner. You have to flip between pages to find out where things are packaged and then build up your pile of parts before starting a section, also they suggest you start with the bedshell but it is most logical to start with the cabinets. It also has some steps that make more sense to be performed in different orders to minimize movement of the objects and make your life easier. They also don't always specify the orientation of parts which is VERY important for later steps. If the instructions were better i probably would have saved 3-4 hrs of labor.
