Have already used this to break up the compacted clay layer about 6 inches down in my backyard garden that not even the gas-powered tiller could break. Product is substantial and will clearly last. Appreciate the fiberglass-coated wood handles - an excellent balance of weight and strength. The metal tines are also substantial and didn't have any trouble witht he mulberry roots under my garden.
