This lamp arrived the day before a 5.5-hour power loss in my neighborhood. The timing could not have been more perfect, as I used it right away. The only disappointment is that the on/off switch is on the bottom of the lamp, and I have it on my nightstand. So, if I wake up in the middle of the night I have to fumble around to find it.
