This chest is cute and looks great once assembled, but putting it together was definitely more difficult and time-consuming than expected. My biggest complaint is the drawer system. For safety, it only allows one drawer to be open at a time, which sounds nice in theory but is frustrating in everyday use. The drawers are very picky—you have to push a drawer completely closed, often with more force than should be necessary, before another drawer will open. If it’s even slightly out of place, the other drawers lock up. After using it for a while, this feature has become more annoying than helpful. This distressed finish is very durable and easy to touch up.

We were looking for something with more of a vertical footprint to make space in our bedroom and this was just right, size-wise. It looks great too, and it's nice to have real wood. Assembly took quite a bit of time, especially since there weren't predrilled holes for a lot of the screws, but it all came together. As others noted, it's good to be aware that the back panel is unfinished, so this dresser must be set up against a wall (which is necessary for safety anyway, with a secure fastener included). I wish the drawers had a slightly smoother or controlled glide, and plan to add some felt to quiet the closure. Overall, a solid buy and great for our space!. Anonymous. Whittier, CA.
