I guess you get what you pay for. And Wayfair was careful not to say this rug was something it wasn't. But it wasn't good enough for me. Much too coarsely woven, and a hooked or maybe "hand tufted" rug. I was looking for a hand-knotted rug, which this rug definitely was not. This is a Safavieh rug sold by many e-tailers. And Wayfair price was the best. Still I returned it because it just wasn't what I was expecting. Patterned rugs are difficult to buy online, and I suspect those that cost over $1000 get returned fairly frequently. Wayfairs return process was super easy and quick. Honestly, YUCK. This rug looks like it was in a flood, then stored in a dusty attic for ten years. While the base color looks white/light beige/gray in the photos, it looks like an aged yellowy tan in real life. I tried to get a photo of this color difference, but it photographs light like in the photos, so I can't tell if it's just a my specific rug color issue, or all of them. The feel of the rug was also unpleasant. I walk barefoot everywhere, but it was an unpleasant, crunchy feeling. That's even after running my cordless vacuum over it three times and having a completely full bin of lint each go.
