Urethane faux wood shutters stay true to authentic wood by not only having a wood grain, but also by having the ability to be either gel-stained or painted. Longevity of this faux wood material is priceless, without sacrificing the real wood appearance of the shutters.

Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. Three things to be aware of: (1) Many of the pre-drilled holes weren't drilled all the way through, so we had to drill them ourselves; (2) You need your own specialized tools (like a drill with a certain-sized square drill bit & two different size sockets); and (3) At least for us, the box arrived extremely damaged, with holes in the box.
