It's important to note that with this design, the center square goes above the ceiling grid vs. sitting below it, so this is perfect for my application as the basement in my home is quite low in some areas where there is duct work, allowing me to optimize head space versus other designs that droop below the ceiling grid. Well my review is mixed. I love the look and I couldn’t find tin backsplash from anywhere else. Everything was faux tin so basically vinyl. These are not aluminum. Some sort of special galvanized so I hope they do not rust. Our problem came when we put a very mild masking tape on the tin to mark our cutting area. As you can see from the picture the paint came off! We were surprised that this would happen considering the cost. Very disappointed. Now I worry how much paint will come off when I clean it. It is a mix of majority rust, majority galvanized, and partial rust. Our most popular style, the random mix is recommended for large projects. It is not recommended for small projects due to the large variation between pieces. Majority Rust: The majority of each tile will have warm, orange/brown rust coverage and coloring.
