These are definitely not matte, the texture is smooth and slippery (slightly concerned about using it for our shower floor). But the quality is fantastic, the backing seems sturdy and I havent seen any chips (havent gone through the whole order yet). I like that the edges are a sandy color, I think it will make it pop with a dark grout. Shipping was faster than initially expected. It was carefully packaged. So bright and vivid! I got this tile in royal blue after searching high and low for a bright blue tile. I had seen a picture somewhere of a bathroom which I used as inspo. My builder’s tile vendor only had light blues, blue grays, all the blues were tepid. If you’re looking for a vibrant blue, this is it. I installed it in a chevron pattern and it looks great!
