heats up using the minimum water level, when heating water for a cup of hot tea. I was using a Pyrex glass measuring cup to heat one cup of water in the mornings in my microwave and it would take almost 5 minutes to begin boiling. I like my hot water fairy hot so really excited that now it takes a minute to two minutes at the most. This was a great purchase and priced very reasonable.
