Auto locking mechanism looks the two pieces together. Chair frame made is solid wood and steel. They rock and swivel 180 only stationary when reclined. The leather is supple and soft, and durable. I purchased two and they are definitely worth the investment. These recliners are very comfortable to sit and lounge in with. It reclines just shy of flat. The recliner also has built in usb ports for charging devices the side when relaxing, however power is needed for charging and reclining. Once I purchased they were tagged online as out of stock. The chairs are very beautiful and look very elegant. However, they do have some flaws. The sides did come with some leather damage. The legs had some nicks, and the back flap looks unfinished when the back is exposed to view. In my opinion the back could use some extra velcro to lay the flap flat against the chair. That takes away from the quality of this elegant chair, hence why I gave it a 4. This order also had some extraordinary delays in delivery. So, we had to wait more time than expected. Then upon delivery they had the damages I described were found. At the present time I am waiting to hear from the seller to see what can be done. I will post an update.
