Used this WL550 sealer on a powerwashed 20+ year old patio. This product did a good job reviving some color without the fake looking shine of sealers with glossy finishes. I wouldn't call it a 100% "wet look' when done -- would have preferred a little darker -- but given the age of the patio, the results were pretty good. I used about 2 1/3 gallons to cover 365 sq ft using a pump sprayer. Product had a strong odor, but it dissipated soon after the job. I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. Great product for protecting concrete. Be careful with how you want to apply this product. I used a plastic container and sprayer, and this sealer literally melted the plastic/ spraying wand. I had to buy stailess steel sprayer to apply this sealer. Also, use a very good quality gloves to avoid any skin rash. It would be great if the supplier supplied MSDS sheet and warning label to not to use any plastic sprayer. Product is excellent, easy to apply! I have used it for a few games and didn’t do as well as my 219.00 one which has a rubber looking tip and a hole to screw in an extender, there are complaints with the extender in due to there not being enough space needed for one of the ping-pong tables. It’s a bit cramped need for more space at ping-pong tables 1. My 219.00 one has a fiberglass narrow end toward the tip. I would have a better result if I just fatten the tip a bit. Easy to install, product is intuitive, and lighting on knobs/under unit are awesome. One element that is lacking is the back hi g design. This unit is designed to be built in, and as such costs 4x what a normal Blackstone unit does. The hinge configuration creates a gap on the back edge which is not an ideal transition to your top. Back hinge placement also causes the front of the lid to wobble a bit when opening and closing. Small detail but big one when building a high end outdoor kitchen.
