I spent several weeks scouring the internet for the perfect 72-inch-tall floor lamp. I had almost given up and decided to spend $1700.00 at RH and buy one of their tall lamps, but I really wanted a slightly quirky, space-age look, and RH was a little too traditional. Then I came across this beauty. It is perfect for my needs and desires. It looks much more expensive than it actually is. It is true that it falls 1/2 inch shorter than my search specification, but I think I can live with that. There are two issues with the lamp. The bracket that holds the shade to the base looks a little questionable, and the switch that turns the lamp on is so slick that my 83-year-old hands have a bit of difficulty turning it. The shipping was fast. It was a little difficult to put together because there is a threaded piece that screws into 2 pole pieces. That piece somehow came loose and got stuck because it threaded wrong. It wasn’t a huge issue once the problem was identified. I hope the lights last a very long time. First off- this lamp is the most BEAUTIFUL lamp I have ever seen. It looks so classical, and is the perfect height to elevate a room. I adore the crystal pieces that hang catch the light and reflect pretty on the wall. The lightbulbs are included and emit a nice soft light that is warm and looks so cozy. The shade is layered and has a soft touch to it and a sheer layer that looks so nice. Packaged well shipping was incredibly fast. The only thing is that the chains the crystal pieces hang on break very easily, which you can bend back into place but it’s a lil frustrating when they pop off while you’re trying to take the protective covering off each one, the plastic wrap is stapled to it so it’s hard to get off gently and you just need to be careful. It also has a floor switch so you can easily turn it on and off with just the press of a button. 1010 would buy again- i’m considering getting a second one for my bedroom! very happy!. Angel.
