Very nice hall bench with storage, pretty much what we needed. However, it was a BEAR to put together (and my husband is super good at putting things together). It took all day, there were a bajillion parts, screws, etc. and the instructions weren't necessarily in order of what goes next. I like how it looks and functions but wish the area up top was deeper for baskets (of hats and gloves). Maybe if the whole thing was deeper, the bench is shallow. The end result turned out very well, the original delivery contained a broken part, the bench top did not have corresponding holes for the dowels, I called Customer Service, who were very responsive got me in touch with the manufacturer who sent out replacement bench .
