Very nice hall bench with storage, pretty much what we needed. However, it was a BEAR to put together (and my husband is super good at putting things together). It took all day, there were a bajillion parts, screws, etc. and the instructions weren't necessarily in order of what goes next. I like how it looks and functions but wish the area up top was deeper for baskets (of hats and gloves). Maybe if the whole thing was deeper, the bench is shallow. I think this hall tree was a good value purchase. It took about 3.5 hours for me and my husband to put together (he assembled the top, while I assembled the bottom). There are a few little spots that have some imperfections (i.e. gaps), but they are barley noticeable. The bench is a reasonable height and seems sturdy and has held up when me or my husband sits on it, with no problem. I love having a drawer.
