Very pleased with the awning. Fits the space just right. Assembly was not overly difficult but the instructions could have been a bit more detailed. I looked at several videos related to assembly of the out sunning awnings and even though they were not for this exact awning it helped immensely. I was able to do the complete assembly by myself but needed help to lift the awning into place on the brackets. I mounted the brackets in the rim joist between the first and second floors... as such I needed to purchase some lag screws as the anchors provided with the awning were suited more to mounting on brick or concrete. We love our 15x13 louvered pergola. Looks really nice and expensive and feels solid. It took an experienced crew of 2 about 3 hours to install but I know ot would've taken me and a friend at least 6-8 hours as it'll take longer to read the instructions and plan the steps etc. whereas the experienced pergola installers went right into it. The louvers work well and are the best thing abiut this compared to our previous gazebo. You can bring in as much light as you want while controlling direct sunlight, but make sure you decide which way they should open (by rotating the whole pergola) as that dictate if you can control direct sunlight. The lights are solar with 1 smallish panel but they lasted more than 4 hours on the couple of occasions we used them, and likely would've lasted longer if we needed then. The quality of this "iron" gazebo is pretty disappointing. It feels like aluminum and the panels are plastic and are scratched looking put of the box. There is discoloration on one of the panels. Maybe from being in the sun? I am not sure exactly it appears whiteish on the gray panel. Not great since it is meant to be outside. Some of the parts that are metal are bent and scratched. The assembly instructions are awful as well. I have an event in a few days that I purchased this for so hopefully it will come together and not look absolutely cheap and rickety once it is fully assembled.
