I picked these stone veneers as they were neutral colored. I went back and painted a light white over the veneers and sponged the paint in. Added a wood frame and indirect lighting. Love the wall and am so happy with the overall look. I ordered 16 veneers in all so four packages. I laid them all out on the floor first to get a pattern that flowed. The veneers don’t all lay flat so I used a wood frame behind them and attached them to the frame with Brad nails. Easy to attach to frame and with the nails and you can pull them off and adjust if need be. Very easy to work with. I even had to cut 5” off the bottom row and super easy to cut with jigsaw. This is a great looking cooktop! We are just not sure about the knobs. There is a stainless steel ring around the knobs that is bigger than the know itself so food or grease can get between It will be interesting to try to clean. This field tile is an exquisite example of the artistry of nature. Its background is contrasted with clean and rich veins. Each slab has its own beautiful design, it is totally unique.

I used this slate both inside and out and love the way it looks. Our new home is modern industrial and the rustic feel of this slate was the look we were trying to achieve. It does show footprints and we did use this in high traffic areas like our entry. We used a few rugs to cut down on the maintenance which is no more than a damp mop.
