This is the coolest thing and I’m super excited to use it. Going to make it the top of a coffee table. Very lightweight and crazy bendable, hard to believe it’s real slate but it is. I ordered the carbon tiles. They turned out great in my entryway, kitchen and closet. Installing them went pretty smoothly. With the four sides connecting it was a little difficult in smaller spaces to latch the sides but with persistence it worked out and they feel like they will stay together better than the connect and pound style. This is a great product. Directions say to cut with utility scissors. They do not work. There are parts of the tiles that are very thick and utility scissors cannot cut it. I used a dremel with a diamond cutting wheel and had no issues. I laid this right over ceramic tiles after cleaning with acetone. It stuck well and looks really good!. Tamara. Monument, CO. I love these tiles!! My mantel had an empty gap that always bothered me. They are easy to work with and cut, I used an angle grinder and it worked great. I did score the tiles with a glass cutter and I also taped the tiles where I needed to grind to. I didn’t want to do too much cutting so I used a peel and stick Moulding to fill in the little gap at the bottom. The photos don’t do it justice, they are very iridescent. I highly recommended them!. Love this tile! It has been a NIGHTMARE to deal with… Ordered with quick delivery and. A week later they say it’s back ordered and a month out. Of course it now being delivered to a home I no longer live at then the delivery people break two boxes on delivery and now I'm ONE tile short and all the tile is down.
