I got this 14,000 BTU window AC for my workshop here in Florida, and honestly it’s been a lifesaver in the heat. My shop gets brutally hot during the afternoons, especially with tools running and the sun beating on the building, but this unit cools the space down way faster than I expected. Within about 15-20 minutes you can actually feel a huge difference. Installation was pretty straightforward, and once mounted it feels solid and secure. I like that it has multiple modes including eco, sleep, dehumidifier, and fan settings because Florida humidity is no joke. The dehumidifier feature really helps take that sticky feeling out of the air. It’s also quieter than I thought a 14,000 BTU unit would be. I think this is a pretty nice sleeping bag. It’s lightweight, so it won’t add a lot of weight to your gear. I haven’t taken it out on a cold weather trip yet, but I’ll be curious to see how it does. I don’t think it’s going to work in the coldest weather on earth, but for those chilly nights at the edge of the season it will do well. I only wish the cord was a bit longer, but that might be good so you aren’t wrapped up in a lot of wires (it depends on what you are plugging it into how long you’ll need, of course).
