The Rockwell Charlotte handles are the traditional sliding door handles. It is a 2 piece construction handle and is available in a back-to-back C handle or with an exterior finger pull. The Charlotte sliding door handles have a good finger clearance but do have a profile height of 1.95 inches and may not clear all screen doors. They come standard in a private version but are also available in a limited edition with the key locking cylinders preinstalled in the offset keylock position. The handles are Non-handed and suitable for either right or left-hand doors. The Charlotte handles are suitable for 0.171″ diameter screw-hole door face bores.

Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. This sliding door multi-point mortise lock is constructed of diecast metal and aluminum components, and it comes with a chrome plated, rounded faceplate. Typically used on sliding patio doors, it features a two-point latching mechanism whose hooks face away from each other at 3-3/4 inch on center. The mounting holes are spaced apart at the distance of 7-13/16 inch on center, and the housing measures 9/16 inch thick. When the hooks are engaged and locked it secures you door better than a single hook lock in just one direction. As a newer product, the style mortise lock has a button in the center of lock. The button needs to be depressed to operate lock. This feature is to prevent you from closing door and breaking each latch hook. When door is closed the button will depress and allow you to lock door. The correct keeper will allow this.

This patio door handle set comes with a black diecast inside handle with a hardwood pull. It is used by many patio door manufacturers. It can be used on either right or left-handed doors. The black diecast lever operates most mortise latches installed in the door (see E 2008, E 2009, E 2014 or E 2111). This is non-keyed but can be keyed by installing the Prime-Line E 2000 key cylinder into the outside handle. For thick doors order Prime-Line part E 2576 latch lever.
