I got this 14,000 BTU window AC for my workshop here in Florida, and honestly it’s been a lifesaver in the heat. My shop gets brutally hot during the afternoons, especially with tools running and the sun beating on the building, but this unit cools the space down way faster than I expected. Within about 15-20 minutes you can actually feel a huge difference. Installation was pretty straightforward, and once mounted it feels solid and secure. I like that it has multiple modes including eco, sleep, dehumidifier, and fan settings because Florida humidity is no joke. The dehumidifier feature really helps take that sticky feeling out of the air. It’s also quieter than I thought a 14,000 BTU unit would be. We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. The space-saving direct vent furnace design mounts to an exterior wall and the adjustable vent assembly adjusts to fit walls from 4-1/2 inches to 10 inches thick. For clean, comfortable heat when and where you want it, the gas flame is completely sealed inside, away from all contact with room air. Air necessary for combustion is drawn into the chamber from outside through the vent and combustion products are vented directly to the outside. Only clean, gentle heat, in continuous circulation, is delivered into the room. Windows and doors stay closed because no room air is used for combustion. The DVA30L direct vent propane wall furnace is designed to heat up to 425 Sq. Ft. and has a 25,000 BTU input.

Only used one time so far I think overall it will be great you must hold the the pilot light down for 5 or 6 minutes, at least to get it to light up. For me, the installation was a lot harder than I thought it would be. The unit I have is propane. Time will tell, but overall, I think its going to be great for heating up my small cabin. The inverter option is great for any place with short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! I heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote control is a must, but it works great with the thermostat so I just set the temperature I like and that’s it! The room stays at a comfortable temperature. My husband was able to do most of the installation. It was relatively easy to install the unit on the wall with parts that are included, we only had a certified electrician do the the connection and final install of the unit. Were remodeling a house and the original air conditioning system was slightly undersized both in the kitchenutility and the living room. They were always either too hot or cold with not enough airflow. The current AC condenser is a 2-ton which is a little undersized for this home, but still fairly new, 5 or 6 years. We chose to keep the current AC and purchased this two head mini split. Its a perfect solution for our problem. Very easy to install. My husband installed it with a little help from me. This is a perfect solution for those DIYers. It came with the template and wonderful instructions and all the accessories, line set and wiring and remotes for each head.
