I recently purchased the Donati 9-Drawer Dresser and wanted to share my experience for anyone considering it. First, be prepared—this is definitely a project if you’re assembling it on your own. I started putting it together around 7 PM, worked until about 2 AM, then picked it back up the next day around 1 PM and finished around 6 PM. It’s time-consuming and can feel a bit challenging at times, but I actually enjoyed the process and found it rewarding to see it come together. There were a few minor issues with some of the wood panels having small chips, but nothing too noticeable once everything was assembled. Overall, the dresser is very sturdy and feels well-made. The finished look is absolutely beautiful and makes the effort worth it. If you’re patient and don’t mind spending the time assembling it, I would definitely recommend it. Was tempted to give this 3 stars, but it’s probably closer to 3.5 so I’ll round up. Overall, I’m very happy with how this dresser looks and the size. It was pretty hard finding something that we liked but also had round corners to make it safe for our 14 month old. There is a lot I wish was different about this dresser though. For one, it took my husband about 4-5hrs to build because it had so many steps and parts (and he is normally good at putting these things together). Second, for how large each drawer looks on the outside, it’s actually much smaller in width and height so you loose a lot more storage than you think (see photos). Lastly, I was expecting soft close drawers because they’re so standard these days. It’s not a smooth close and is actually quite stiff the close at the very end for a full shut. Would definitely recommend. not sure if you can see, but they just as a glass piece with a center hole on the top versus the two holes needed to attach the glass to the bracket. It was also missing a hole where needed to attach one of the shelving.. the first picture with a circle show you the hole in the center and the brackets that have no holes to attach the bolts. The second picture shows you what it should look like cause I bought two.. very disappointed had to keep because of the issues that related to the delay of delivery. The dresser feels fairly study once assembled, with the exception of the drawers being a bit loose when pulled out. The color looks very nice in person and it appears to be higher quality than it actually is. One complaint we have is that the curved doors on either side and very difficult to slide open and require you to use one hand on the handle and one hand gripping the slats around the backside of the dresser to really open and close them. Pretty good quality and came well packaged. The instructions were clear, however, there are SEVERAL non pre-drilled holes, so if you do not have a drill this will be extremely hard to build - lots of force required to screw in.
