I was able to double stack sandals on the top but tennis shoes on the bottom and I tried with my lowest pair and if still didn’t work with turning them around or trying to angle them to the side. This is the best shoe rack!!! It’s so easy to put together - it comes in about 5 pieces and doesn’t take more than 5-10 min to assemble. It’s packed really well. The solid wood legs have a mid-century feel. This can be used with the thick mat inserts, or without them as a plastic shoe tray.
