I just finished assembly. It took me way too long but I got it done! It looks beautiful. You do have to be careful with some of the screws in the manufactured wood but the finished product is solid. I do think the back panels should be the same manufactured wood as the rest. The very thin nails to secure part of the cardboard panels are difficult to hold let alone nail in. We’ve been using this shoe storage cabinet for a few years now, and it has held up well overall. It feels durable, and we’ve been maintaining it, so it still looks nice. It’s definitely cute and works well for our space. It holds a good number of shoes, but it’s not suitable for tall boots since the compartments aren’t high enough. Installation was fairly okay—my husband took about one to two hours to put it together. The only small issue we had was that one of the side doors doesn’t close perfectly, but it hasn’t been a major problem. One thing to note is that the “mirror” front shown in pictures is actually a tinted panel, not real glass or a mirror, so just be aware of that before purchasing. It’s very affordable and looks nice, but it’s not a high-end shoe cabinet. That said, it does its job well. We even use the top surface for extra storage and decor. When it rains, our yard gets up to 4 of deep, sticky mud. This boot scraper works great at removing built up mud from boots and shoes.
