I bought this primarily as a reading nook lounger. It weighs 50 lbs and I wasn't home when it was left leaning on its end on my porch. I'm a 60 yo woman and managed this solo. It took some work to shimmy this into the house but the room it went into is near the front door. If you have steps you will absolutely need 2 people. The box is big and awkward and difficult to get a good grip. Once in the room, I leaned it against the wall with the bottom facing me. So when you open the box the underneath is showing. Locate the little box with the legs, cut away the protective plastic, screw in the legs and then voila lower it down. The legs have felt stick ons and easy to slide from there if you have hard floors. It does have some unsightly metal brackets attached on both sides so I covered it with a cute throw. Plus I bought the cream color and it could get dirty fast. Hard to say how long the cushion will remain supportive. But overall I feel it was a decent purchase for the price point.. Lisa. Very well-made velvet sofa. The fabric is really beautiful. You will notice that the back does come in two separate pieces as well as the base of the sofa. It does sit lower to the ground, but is very comfortable. I will use it with my Staging business and it will get a lot of use. Is on the heavier side. That can be a positive if you are using it for every day use. It is long and you could easily stretch out for a nice nap. Overall, I love the sofa. I couldn’t find a better picture, but I really loved this couch. It was easy to clean and held up well since my initial purchase in 2023. I also loved that the decorative pillows came with it because they matched the couch perfectly and made it look really nice in my living room. The only reason I’m getting rid of it now is because my cats unfortunately tore up the sides despite my attempts to protect it. Lesson learned — I also wish I had purchased the insurance. One thing to note is that liquids can seep through the fabric. When my cat had an accident, some of it went through even though I cleaned it quickly. Also, removing the cushion covers from the back of the pillows can be a bit difficult. Overall, I really did enjoy this couch and would buy it again if I didn’t have cats. Sofa was delivered faster than expected! No missing or damaged parts. Although instructions were mostly pictures, they were easy to follow. I built it myself and took about an 1.5h. The back cushions are a bit flat, the seat cushions are thick and firm. Did not expect the back part of the sofa to be a piece of metal and light fabric covering it, but for the price I can’t complain. Works for its purpose for now but don’t expect it to be durable in the long run. I love the color and am happy with the purchase! (the plastic on the sofa is to protect from my cats scratching).
