I will give this a 4 because overall I like the appearance and the sturdiness of this rain barrel. However I had to make some alterations to this barrel to suit my needs. First of all the hose holder is insufficient as it is currently configured. It doesn't seat tightly in the hole provided and sometimes comes off when removing the hose. I cut off the 2 prongs on the back so the back was flat. I used a stainless-steel screw to attach it to the barrel. Problem solved, It works great. Second- The openings on the black top cover are a bit too large and will let more debris in than desired. I cut a piece of screen to fit over it and attached it with 6 four inch wire ties. Problem solved, It works great. Third- The nipple at the bottom of the barrel that the hose clamps too is rather small in diameter and a potential weak spot over time IMO. I cut it off, drilled a 1 and an eighth inch hole and replaced it with a bulkhead adapter to fit a standard garden hose. Works great. If you are somewhat handy all these are doable.. Louis. The rain barrel looks as nice as the pictures. The mesh to keep the bugs out does not fits snuggly snuggly and I will need to add aluminum screen. There are two round cut outs near the top at the back of the rain barrel and I assume that’s for venting air as the barrel fills as well as when water is dispensed. Or I suppose it could be for overflow There was no diagram of the rain barrel explaining all the nuances. We installed this rain barrel today, just in time for a major storm, which gave us the perfect opportunity to see how it performed in real-world conditions. Initially, we noticed water overflowing from the top of the barrel. After some troubleshooting, we discovered that the mesh liner included with the unit was not allowing water to flow through properly. Once we removed the mesh liner, the rain barrel worked exactly as expected and handled the rainfall without issue. The barrel itself looks great and blends beautifully with the brick exterior of our home. It has a much more attractive appearance than many of the plastic rain barrels we’ve seen. Our only concern is that without the included mesh liner, we’ll need to find an alternative solution to keep insects, mosquitoes, and small animals out while still allowing water to flow freely into the barrel. It would be helpful if the manufacturer offered a more effective screening solution that doesn’t restrict water flow during heavier rain events. Since we just installed the rain barrel, we have not yet had the opportunity to test the spigot and hose connection to see how well water flows out for watering plants and gardens. If those components perform as expected, we’ll be very pleased with the overall product. Overall, we’re very happy with the appearance and functionality of the rain barrel, but the included mesh liner may need to be redesigned or improved to prevent overflow issues during heavier rain.. Most rain barrels on the market don't fully utilize the water they hold because the spigot is located about halfway up the barrel. This is to allow buckets to be filled but leaves about a quarter of the water behind. And this remaining water is standing which can be hazardous. Barrels with optimally located spigots don't allow room for buckets and leave only hoses as the draining option. This 50-stand solves these issues by lifting and supporting the 50 rain barrels off the ground. With increased elevation, the barrel can drain at a much faster rate. Any filling device can be easily placed below the spigot without awkward tilting or maneuvering.

I ordered 2 sizes of rain barrels and stands to match from same company. They changed shade of color somewhere along the line so not everything matched. Manufacturer told me to keep stands or donate which was nice since then I didnt have to package up and send back. Maybe they shouldve changed color name to new color so this wont happen to others.
