It didn't fill the cargo van with cool air, but with the spout pointed toward me, it made the space you bearable. The Sunjoy cycles on and off. I could not find a rhyme or reason to why it was cycling. It seems when the temperature is too high ( 95+), it does not work. I would roll the windows down slightly, and it would cycle back on around 88 degrees. I ran the air conditioner on the Oupes Mega 1. When the compressor is on, it is using just over 200 watts. I never saw it go above 250 watts, but it did stay slightly lower. It uses a few watts even when the compressor is not operating. I think it is because of the thermostat sensors. It would be really nice if it could run on 12 volts instead of only AC. My Oupes uses some watts just having the 120 volt plugs on. Finally, the Sunjoy is much larger than I anticipated.
